Contest Rules

 

SCHEDULE

The Best Consignment Sale Awards will begin at approximately 8:00 AM ET on April 1, 2010. You can vote for sales until 4:00 PM ET on April 15, 2010. At that time voting will close. All winners will be announced on May 3, 2010. Badges will awarded at that time.

 

INCLUSION & VOTING

Sale organizers must request inclusion on the ballot by Sunday, March 28 at 8pm and must be located within 20 miles of their respective "feature city," with the exception of Atlanta, which is a 50 mile radius. Consignment sales must be currently listed on ConsignmentMommies.com in order to be eligible for the Best Consignment Sale Awards.

Each region must have at least THREE entries in order for voting to begin. Markets / cities without three entries will be removed from the contest.

We expressly reserve the right to disqualify any entries that we believe in good faith are generated by a so-called spam or automated e-mail program or via scripts and automated submission.

Voting will not be made public and only the winning sale results will be made public. We reserve the right to remove or edit nominations, comments, user information and other content that appears on the site at our discretion.

A vote must be accompanied by a valid email address (to prevent voting fraud). You may NOT vote multiple times with the same email address. Multiple submissions MAY be received by the system, but won't be included in the final tally.

This is TOTALLY separate from ratings & reviews on the site.

NOMINEE & WINNER BADGES

As the owner or manager of a nominated sale, you can retrieve and display a badge that features a "Vote for this site" button that will take fans to the ballots on ConsignmentMommies.com. When the voting period ends on April 15, 2010, we will automatically alter your badge so it doesn't show a "vote" button. That way, you can display the nominee badge forever.

Winner badges and Editor's Picks badges will be awarded and appear on the chosen sites in early May 2010.

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS & RELEASES

ConsignmentMommies.com shall not be liable for any electronic miscommunications or failures, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate; any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer on-line system, computer equipment, software, program malfunctions or other failures; delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any part of these Awards.

Unless prohibited by applicable law, entry constitutes permission to use a sale's, logo, likeness, voice, address (city and state) and testimonials in all media, in perpetuity, in any manner ConsignmentMommies deem appropriate for publicity purposes without any further compensation to such entrant.

By participating, all submitters, nominees and winners agree to abide by these Official Rules. Submitters, nominees and winners agree that the Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from these Awards and that all decisions of Sponsor are final and binding. Winners also agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and its employees, representatives, contractors, advertisers and sponsors from any and all liability, loss, damage, cost or claim related to any allegation regarding the acceptance or use of their award, including but not limited to the airing of the commercial submission.
