Based on the resale patterns at these children's consignment sales for spring and fall 2011, ConsignmentMommies.com can extrapolate that industry-wide:

•     More than 8.2 million children’s clothing items were purchased;
•     Kids’ shoes were a popular buy with more than 850,00 pairs sold;
•     Nearly 81,000 outdoor plastic toys like Cozy Coupe cars and outdoor playhouses weighing as much as 100 pounds each found homes with new families;
•     Consignors sold more than 72,000 Fisher Price Little People toys; and
•     Baby gear is in demand with shoppers purchasing more than 43,000 gently-used strollers and high chairs.
