** ConsignmentMommies "I Consign Too Much..." Tip:  The example on the left would make a FABULOUS tagging station if you want to hang it high and then sort by price, size, style, etc on each row.  It's a great way to hang a ton without taking up precious closet space.  Just take a few "slats" out of the crib to create 3-4 rows for hanging.  LOVE IT!!

I really like the chalkboard idea! My mom, an avid quilter, puts quilts in an old baby crib for storage, decoration, and to have them out in the open!

I have a friend who made gorgeous baby gates for her kitchen and living room out of hers.

I've recently seen where some folks were using crib rails to dry cloth diapers outside. I don't own a crib and want one for that!

Dear Consignment Mommies, Thanks for the great information! I might be able to use it myself, plus, tell 2-3 churches about it too! They give away cribs, and I am sure have been wondering what to do with the old ones! In Christ, Beth

I use two old sets of springs frame for my cucumbers to climb on this summer. (they are stacked with stakes woven through them...)

I LOVE these ideas... I often see cribs put out to trash and usually I gaze at them with my mouth hanging open, aghast at the audacity of someone throwing out a crib- something that could be given away if nothing else. My mouth begins to water , longing
to bring home the sides to hang on the wall for fabric storage. Of course i have so much fabric that the walls are lined with industrial shelving and there is no place. Though I now see the possibility for art papers hanging up for inspiration instead of rolled
up, stashed and forgotten about.- maybe you could even find a way to hang up the scrapbooking paper that seems to magically appear in my stash- even though I do not scrapbook. LOL But thanks to your ideas (which now live on my browser toolbar the next time
I see a crib in the vicinity of my apartment I'll tote it home. Since I no longer have a car I'll go get the handtruck if I have to. LOL Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

OH- another idea- how about a suspended from the ceiling pot and utensil rack using the bottom piece?

These ideas are simply wonderfull. I was about to put my crib out for someone to pick up. I am very happy I can reuse it. Thanks for the tips. I especially like the chalk board and rack for fabric.

I used my crib sides as baby gates for our bedrooms. They fit perfectly, are taller and stouter than normal gates, and the wood looks great!

I have two cribs that were over 1000.00 I couldn't stand the thought of having to throw them away! They have a drawer under them... can't wait to make my new couches with storage!
