Best Dressed for Less, A Semi Annual Kids Consignment Sale

I love this sale. It is so large and so well organized. I only feel that it worth it to shop early with a pass to ensure you have first crack at the "best things". However, I really feel like there needs to be a better way of screening merchandise. What
some consider "gently used" is unbelievable.

I LOVE the BDFL sale! The organization, selection, and prices are all amazing. The workers are friendly, helpful, and efficient. I especially appreciate you letting military families register for the preview sale.

AGAIN I was so pleased at the well organized, well thought out sale BDFL put on this year! We loved the merchandise sold, the friendly help and the ease of check out. Well done!

Fortunate to have such a sale in our area. I've been participating as a consignor and shopper for a while now and am always impressed with how well organized this event is. The new location is so much better too.

This was my first time to the sale, so I can only compare it to what others have told me about previous sales. I was really disappointed in the selection. I was not a member of the "elite" pre-sale, and I don't think I ever will be. I usually donate my
gently used items; I don't like to store them for long periods if time and I feel good about helping others. At any rate, this means I will never get the opportunity for the " really good deals" I've heard so much about. I may not return unless I know that
everyone gets a fair crack at a good deal...and that I won't show up a couple of hours into the sale to a place that has been picked clean.

really this year am so mad about the event not for anything but for the presale cause i come friday morning and i couldn find nothing that i was planning for to get for my new born and my todler evrything was gone and i feel really sad sad becaus is been
4 year now that i come shop there and and i spend over 150 d so i hope next time will be a sale for evrybody in the some date and time

Great sale. Items organized well. Only issue was waiting in line to pay for over an hour. There was no way I could have brought my kids to the sale - they never would have made that line. Not sure if I will come again since the line was so brutal!

I look forward to this sale every season! I can get both of my girl's wardrobe for a fraction of the price. It is well organized and everything is easy to find. Colleen is friendly and very helpful!

Sale was great. I got so many great things for so little money. I did better this year than last. My only complaint...please do not allow strollers next time. It is very difficult getting around strollers especially when the people using them are not paying
attention. I may consider not attending next time if strollers are not banned.

As always, a super sale! So glad you're in the masonic fellowship center, it holds so much! I come from PA for your sale and am not disappointed.

I love coming to these events, but this one was tough cause of checking out. You could barely continue looking at any clothes once people started to check out, and waiting in line for over an hour was a bit nuts.

Great sale would like it even more if checkout lines weren't so long. Just saying.

I made some awesome purchases and consigned a nice number of items that beyond paid for my shopping!

What a great sale! All teh clothing I looked at was in great condition. I got some fabulous bargains. AND my kids were thrilled with the TWO full bags brought home. The sellers are so kind and helpful and even helped me locate a missing part to a toy I
bought. They went above and beyond for me. I will be back to shop in the Fall for sure!

First time consignor - LOVED the organization of it all and the efficiency! I sold all but 3 of 78 items. I was thrilled with the results! Thank you for providing such an amazing forum for selling & buying!

This is an excellent sale. I've done it a few times and it keeps getting bigger & better! I get great deals and I make a good deal of money selling my daughters stuff as well. They are also very organized and the sale location is very clean.

Words cannot say how great a job these ladies and gentlemen do at the sale. everyone is helpful and friendly. We have been coming for 4 seasons and lookf forward to each sale. Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job and so organized.

I have been attending the BDFL sale since my daughter was a few montsh shy of 18 months. She will be 4 next week. I have ALWAYS found the BEST quality stuff at afordable prices! I have consigned at the last 3 sales and am SOOOO happy with my sales! This
sale I sold 92.5% of my items! That was SOOO impressive! I learn a little more each sale! But the best part was all the stuff I found for my daughter. I purchased a total of 15 gymboree outfits. 8 of them still had tags and I spent an average of $7 per OUTFIT!
I got a pair of Crocs, NWT for $8! You do the math! The organizers Colleen and Kris are just AMAZING!! They work so hard to make this sale the BEST in South Jersey and IMHO, it is!! I also volunteer and I take great pride in helping these fabulous ladies make
it successful. Whatever is needed of me, I do. As an inspector, I make sure that only clean, quality stuff makes the floor. As a greeter, I make sure to let every person that walks in the door feel like they are the only shopper! I love this sale and I am
proud to say that I am a consinor, shopper and volunteer! I hope to be a part of this sale for as long as they allow me to!

Went for girls clothes, I thought the sale was average, but they did have a large selection. Not necessarily worth the trip from Philly though.

I went to the fall consignment sale and i LOVED it!! They litteraly have everything and at a 75% discount of what you would pay in the stores.. Everything is very clean also.. If u live in the area i sugest you check them out! You wont be disapointed:)

For years I shopped this sale at the Burlington Center. Then I decided to become a consignor. I can't believe the $ I've made selling clothes my daughter has outgrown. Now she asks, "if I sell this, can I have the $ to get something new?" In comparison
to other local sales, this sale is TOP NOTCH. The volunteers are amazing. Folks are having FUN, they are helpful. Everything is thought out and well planned, it's incredible. Something this good should happen more often!!!

box for $7.00. Everything is SOO organized and there is SOOO much to choose from! As a consignor, I would not consign in any other sale!

This was an awesome sale. I am a first time mom and had a list of items I still needed for the baby, large to small, and I found them all at this sale. If I bought them new I would have spent close to a thousand dollars, but at the sale I only had to spend a little over a hundred dollars. We were so grateful for this sale!

I must say I was VERY skeptical about shopping at a consignment sale as my experience has not been that good. However, when I shopped at BDFL consignment, I was awestruck! The place was extremely organized, there were bags to shop with, clothes were in mint condition and volunteers were so kind. More importantly, I purchased a season worth of outfits for my 4 grandchildren at a phenomenal price of just under $200.00!! I now have a fifth grandchild and can't wait for the April sale! I have been doing this consignment thing with BDFL since they first started and I think it's totally wonderful. All the clothes are in tip-top shape and there is such a great selection for toys/books/movies/puzzles etc. It's a great place to go if you're on a budget but still need or want to buy your kids things. I attended my first Best Dressed event in the Fall 2010 @ the Burlington Center Mall. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the clothes, specifically those still with the tags on them. Also, the organization of the clothes was a plus. The only that I disliked was the extensive wait to get in and check-out. Looking forward to the Spring 2011 event.

I loved this sale! It was like Christmas combined with the best sale I have ever found, I will go again and again. BDFL is the most AMAZING consignment sale out there. Kris and Colleen really put a lot of time and effort into making their sale run smoothly. As a consignor, all my items sell and as a buyer I get top quality brand name clothes for a fraction of the price I would normally pay. All items are inspected and displayed, so I don't have to dig through to find what I want. It's really easy to start and with every sale you learn more and more. I have been there since the beginning with them and they are 100% the best sale out there!!!!

Since they've started, I have been to every sale at least once- I usually go back a second time for half price day. $100 in a store can get you 2 or 3 toys or 3 outfits; at BDFL $100 can get you several bags worth of merchandise!

I think this sale is terrific! I've tried other ways of selling my kids clothes and toys but this is the best way I've found. I get more money than a garage sale, it's less hassle than ebay, and the fact that everything from registration through to selling is so organized and the staff so friendly makes it a pleasure. I've bought some terrific clothes for my children at the sale as well. It feels good to 'recycle' rather than purchasing new items.

I went to this sale for the first time while waiting for my first child to be born. I went not expecting much of anything. Boy was I surprised. I found so many things that were pretty much brand new including a swing and bouncer which I saved over $150 off retail price. Overall we saved over $300 on everything we bought versus retail price. I highly reccommend going!

It was great! It was our first time going and we got so much stuff! Our only hold up was that we didn't bring a moving van to bring home all the things we wanted to buy! The baby loves the fun toys we bought there, and it was a great place to buy extra baby gear for the daytime sitter and Mom-Mom's house!

This was my third time shopping. I have wanted to consign but I was pregnant all those times. I have five kids and this is absolutely the BEST place to get all your kids clothes, shoes, books, toys, Cd's, etc. I found some maternity items that would've cost hundreds of dollars and made out like a bandit. Also, they have big ticket items- strollers, high chairs, playpens etc... The prices are so great that I would never go into another store and buy them new when here the items may have been used maybe once or twice. My children are given a budget and they shop for clothes that they like. How can you go wrong? With a family as big as mine and growing, I always look forward to this sale. This is a great sale! It is super organized and the quality and selection of the items is great. My son grows so fast that it is just easier to buy things like snow boots and halloween costumes at a sale like this. We save a ton of money and its great to find everything we need in one place.

Love this consignment sale! I live near the Jersey shore and I attend several other consignment sales in the area and none compare to this one. It is the most organized event. I start to get ready as soon as they open up the website to start printing out labels. I love being able to recycle both toys and clothes. My goal is to break even between buying and selling. My kids can't wait till I come home to see the bargains. Many of the clothes as well as the toys are NWT. I love the pre-sale for first dibs and then the 50% sale to get all the deals. Colleen and Kris are great to work with - you get to see what you sold at the end of every evening of the sale and you get a check a few days after the sale has ended - it doesn't get better then that!

The Fall 2010 sale was the 2nd time I have consigned at this sale and I have consigned at other sales a couple of times as well. And this sale is by far the best sale in the area for consignors. When I compare this sale to the others hands down this one is better advertised, has a better turn out of shoppers, better organized as far as drop off, inspection, pick up and payment is concerned, and laid out so much neater than other sales. Payment comes super fast and the donation report is itemized and descriptive (a big help come tax time!) Colleen and Kris are very nice and the email communication is polite and detailed. I can't say enough good things about this sale; especially when compared to others. I'm looking forward to the spring!

As a stay-at-home mom, participating in the sale is a great way to earn money; and shopping the sale is a fantastic way to save money! This was my 3rd time shopping and first time as a consignor, it was AMAZING, yet again! Every sale I get the best buys for my toddlers!
Being a consignor was sooooo much easier than I thought it would be, it is so organized you can't go wrong! I already have my spring/summer stuff ready for the next sale!

this was the 3rd sale I attended. The first sale was by "accident" I was at the mall and the sale was on its way. My husband and I found a ton of stuff for our then 18 month old daughter. I immediately inquired about more info and got on the mailing list. When the sale came around in the spring of this year, I immediately volunteered to make the flyers in order to gain a pre-sale shoppping pass. I shopped the pre-sale and it was FABULOUS! Then the fall sale came along this time and I immediately offered to colunteer again to gain a pre-sale pass because my previous pre-sale experience was so fantastic. So when Colleen needed a volunteer to work a shift, I was all over it. I got to shope BEFORE the pre-sale. I spent very little and got an amazing amount of stuff. I got TWO winter jackets, that were maybe used once for $6. I even got a dress with tags, a sweather and pants for myself in the junior section for $10 total!! The orgnaizsation of this sale is just unbeleivable. Colleen and Kris are seo dedicated and do an amazing job. I will be consigning for the first time in the next spring sale and i can't wait to volunteer and get involved again. By far this is the best consignment sale in the area! i would recommend and have recommended this sale to ALL mommy's and daddy's I know!

Third time shopper. First time consigner. I had a GREAT time doing both! Kris and Colleen were really fun to work with and were SUPER organized (even for an ADD mom like me). I made a TON on money. I shopped till I dropped and then went back for more. The clothes were BEAUTIFUL and CHEAP! And we got rare items (like Thomas) for cheap-cheap-cheap. Trust me, just go to the next one, you will NOT be sorry.

My BDFL presale shopping experience was wonderful Thursday ~ so wonderful in fact that I went back at night for a little more LOL. The crowd and check out lines were very reasonable and I LOVE all of my purchases (or should I say DEALS). I bought 3 name brand learning toys for my 2 yr old for only $13 that would have retailed new for about $60 and a very clean booster seat for $8. But the best for me was the 60+ articles of new-looking, beautiful clothing that averaged $3.80 per piece and it was mostly GAP, CRAZY8 and GYMBOREE! AMAZING! LOVE BDFL! and I had alot of fun working my shift on Wednesday and met some very nice moms. Looking forward to my sunday shift too! This is my 4th sale for shopping, my 2nd for consigning and my 1st for working. I must admit I was skeptical at first but now I am hooked. And I know its because the BFDL sale is so amazingly organized and runs so smoothly. Thanks Colleen & Kris!

Up until two months ago, I had never heard of this sale. On a friend's recommendation, I consigned my items, somewhat skeptical. I was surprised to see that it was very easy and the drop-off process was very organized and ran smoothly. After only the first day of the public sale, almost half of my items had already sold! It was way more than I expected and I will definitely consign again. From the buyers aspect- the clothes are all in great condition- the volunteers checked them for rips and stains when consignors drop them off. The deals are fabulous. Entire Gymboree outfits for $13, toys still in their boxes for 20%-40% of their original prices! I will definitely be back at future sales to both shop and consign!

I have loved both participating and shopping at this event for the past two years -- I absolutely look forward to it every spring and fall! As a consigner, it is a great way to make a little extra cash off of my children's gently used clothes and toys. OMG, we LOVE this sale. Found out about it while pregnant last year with first baby. We CLEANED UP the 1st time, the 2nd time, the 3rd time... and will again. Thousands of dollars in toys, clothes, feeding, nursing, you name it... for pennies on the dollar. Literally- excellent condition items, excellent prices. I have now introduced my Mom, sister-in-law and multitudes of friends and co-workers. And the best part, is not only can you buy- you can sell too! So at this point, I can start selling all the stuff she is too big for to help pay for the new stuff she needs... whoever said "kids are expensive" hasn't met "Best Dressed For Less" yet, that's for sure! i went to this sale for the spring, and i couldnt believe how high the prices were!! i could go to Carters for brand new stuff and walk out of there for cheaper and more clothes! theres was an outfit in there with tags that said $12.95 and the seller wanted $40 for it?!?!? Also, alot of the clothes had stains on them. I will never go to this sale again nor will i reccomend it to anyone!
