BHMommy...You are absolutely right...not enough registers! We will do our best to put in 2 more check-out stations for the next sale! But to be totally accurate, the worst wait time either reported to us or verified has been a little less than 2 hours.
Still totally not acceptable, but no one waited 3 hours. We are so sorry and will do our best to address this situation, and thanks for letting us know. We hear you! Please trust us again and see how we address your concerns!

Huge sale. Great selection and inventory. Not nearly enough registers for a sale this size. The wait in line to check out was 3 hours on Saturday! We had to leave without making any purchases. There should definitely be more registers.

Great selection of items. Also wonderful/profitable way to consign your children's items!! My friend and I volunteered and consigned. We shopped early and racked up some great deals!

Cortney...I appreciate your comments about the stains, etc. As a consignor yourself, you would have received the email yesterday that we sent out addressing this very problem. We asked the over 100 volunteers who sorted this time for their comments, which
we shared in the email to all consignors yesterday. We hope this information will prove helpful to the consignors and make the selection in future sales improve in both quality and presentation!

Love consigning and volunteering at WeeRuns , but this past sale there was way too many clothes that had stains and even holes in the clothes. I think that check in needs to be better to prevent loading up the racks with old, worn out clothes, and even
really out of date clothing. Just felt the standard for accepting clothes this year was a little down. There was also great clothes there too, but just there was more worn out clothes on the racks this sale.

I really love WeeRuns and look forward to it twice a year. This past sale was my second time consigning, and we had a family emergency that ran into some of the dates that I had agreed to. The owner was kind and accommodating, even when she did not have
to be. I have never had a bad experience with her or the sale, and will definitely be shopping and consigning with WeeRuns again.

FlipFlopChick...I am so sorry you purchased an item which did not operate properly. If you had let us know, we would have gladly refunded your money. In fact, I can still do that for you if you will contact me. Since we began barcoding years ago, we have
been able to offer refunds. I will look forward to hearing from you so that we may take care of this to your satisfaction immediately.

I actually did not come to the sale on Sunday. I really didn't think that the sale would be going on because of the weather but I didn't think to check the website. I am talking about prior times that I have consigned or shopped on much busier nights.
I just wish the owner would have a better attitude towards everyone when they come in to consign or if they need help with something and not act so rude.

FlipFlopChic 20-Feb-2012 01:10 PM2 out of 5 stars
Very disappointed that the this sale would allow items to be sold that doesn't work. I know that this is a large sale but to me selling items that don't work and taking peoples money is not right. Take the time to check the stuff before the consignor leaves.
Also alot of the clothes in there is very over priced. You can go to Target or Walmart and buy it brand new for the same price.

Deane Belk 19-Feb-2012 11:35 PM5 out of 5 stars
To TriadMommy...I am so sorry to have given you or anyone else at the sale tonight the impression I was ignoring anyone or being hateful. With the inclement weather on the way, the emails and phonecalls were monopolizing my time. I wish I could have gotten
away from my desk and computer, but our fabulous volunteers seemed to have it well under control so that I could attend to the questions on the phone and computer. I did not intend to give an impression of ignoring anyone. I just prefer to work close to the
door and check-out stations so that I am easily accessible if needed.
TriadMommy 19-Feb-2012 11:06 PM1 out of 5 stars
I just wanted to say the owner of WeeRuns is so absolutely HATEFUL!!! She acts like it is a problem to be friendly to anyone that wants to speak to her or ask her a simple question. Like she really gets bothered by the people that are making HER money.
I have actually seen her sitting at her desk where normally she is even though the lines are extremely backed up and I actually saw another person walk up to say something to her and she first acted like they were not even there and second that it almost hurt
her eyes to look up and even acknowledge them standing there. She NEVER speaks or acts like MOST owners of businesses act.

If you have never shopped at this sale, you might not know that the owners always do what is called a Round-up campaign. At checkout, you are given the opportunity to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar, and they will donate the proceeds to whatever
charity they have designated for that fall or spring sale. Also, they match it - what a great way to give back to the community!!!
Jennifer Frame 11-Feb-2012 03:00 PM5 out of 5 stars
This is the first time I had been to Wee Runs, and WOW what a sale! This is the largest consignment sale in the triad that I have been to, and the selection is amazing. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, and she was very pleasant and accommodating.
When you go, be prepared to wait in line on Saturday morning (the line was very long because so many people had huge piles of stuff and there are only 4 check-outs. That being said, it's a great sale!!!

This will be my 2nd time shopping Wee Runs and I love it! As a 1st time mom I have learned that kids grow out of their clothes too fast and I can find great deals on gently used clothing here. I love it b/c I usually get a whole season's worth of clothes
and other stuff too.

Although i have consigned and shopped this sale for many years, i must admit that there last sale was a BUST. It was ridiculously crowded (to the point the hangers couldn't even move) to look at stuff. Shoes were UNDER the clothing racks, making it so
hard to see, and not to mention a pair of sister consignor/volunteers who practically feel like they own the place by being RUDE and bossy to fellow consignors/volunteers. Come'on people, this benefits ALL of us, no need for being rude. I will have to think
twice before going back and dealing with this again. Plus tons of clothing in BAD condition for a ridiculous price. :(
April 12-Sep-2011 06:15 PM1 out of 5 stars
The prices are continually going up and quality going down. I have consigned here for several years and just don't appreciate how I am treated as a consignor. Appreciation for consignors and customers is a must and I just don't see that happening here.
She rented less space this past sale and it was very unorganized with toys, costumes, and equipment in the halls and hard to find. I think I will stick to consigning with the church that I also consign with as I would rather see the profits go to a good cause
and be appreciated!

Have been involved in this sale for over 10 years. Never have had any problems with the owner who is very organized and runs a great sale. I always find plenty of items as I only shop VIP to have the choice of the best. I will continue to do this sale
as it is the only one worth doing in the Triad area. Money is given to charities This season was The Cowboy Church to which I proudly donated. Thank goodness for Deane and Weeruns!
Crystal D 09-Sep-2011 09:41 AM5 out of 5 stars
WeeRuns is an AMAZING sale! I've been shopping there since my oldest (now 15) was on the way, back when the sale was over on Porter Street. Additionally, I've been consigning there for 15 years as well. The selection and prices vary from year to year but
that is all about the consignors, not those who put on the sale. I've always found Deanne to be helpful and accomodating whenever possible. The rules are in place to protect consignors and other shoppers. If it's not worth getting a babysitter for an hour
to get a great deal on clothes, toys and equipment for your kids, then keep paying retail at regular stores. I find fabulous deals everytime that I shop! I am proud to be associated with WeeRuns and to suggest it to all of my family and friends! Thanks Deanne
for the amazing job that you and all of your staff do!
Shannon 08-Sep-2011 12:15 PM1 out of 5 stars
This may be a large sale for this area but I choose to send my business to the local church sales that value your business. I found the Weeruns Owner to be extremely RUDE on several different occasions. Even when asking her a simple question, she always
seemed to have an attitude when responding. After dealing with this a few times on different things I decided not to go back and told all my friends not to go back either. She makes money when you sell and buy items so you think she would at least be polite
to her customers/vendors. I'm glad to see other comments on here about how she has treated others and they have made the similar decision to go elsewhere. In this type of economy it doesn't seem worth the time and effort to give business to someone who doesn't
treat you with respect. I don't find it that well organized either when the wait time was typically very long during certain sales.

Never again 08-Sep-2011 12:05 PM1 out of 5 stars
Consigned and shopped at the sale for several years. Though after having face to face dealings with the owner I have made the decision not to deal with this sale again. There are many other people value customers and treat them well. I prefer to give my
hard earned money to a better deserving organization.

I have volunteered and consigned and I think it use to be way better than it is now and prices have definatly gone up. I probably wont consign or volunteer again bc its too much of a hassel to me but everybody has their own oppion. It is probably good
for some people but to me its not worth my time. I love the owner and volunteers they are very sweet. Maybe prices and things will go back to how they use to be. I found many clothes this past sale with stains and when I got home I would have one item with
4t and the pants 3t. That needs to be checked better but other than that everything was great. :)
Katy 16-Aug-2011 01:13 PM4 out of 5 stars
I found enough at this sale this season; more than what I planned. I see where some thought that the prices were high, but it all varies sale to sale since the consignors are setting the prices. If you are reading this and haven't been before, please go
to the next sale because not all of us price the items high. I took almost 200 items (small amount this time) and brought home 15 items. I priced things average price of $4.00 from Jeans, dresses, & toys to books, home decor and costumes. This is a great way
to make some money and it is more than if you were to have a yard sale! It all depends on what you are looking for each sale. I always have a good time and we make it an excuse for a girl's night out, so thanks WeeRuns!

I thought the prices were a little high this year. Still found lots but, not as good as last year.

Momof6 16-Aug-2011 01:25 AM5 out of 5 stars
Was so pleasantly surprised at the many good deals. I bought beautiful Christmas dresses for my all four of my daughters for less than $30. Plus a nice used stroller and many other regular items. I like the chance to get out and do some thrifty shopping
with the children along and it takes time to look through the 1000s of clothing available! Get there early for the best deals! Always a sale motto!
Newmommy 15-Aug-2011 09:08 PM4 out of 5 stars
This sale is usually great! Wasn't so impressed with this past sell, but will continue to go. Many of the clothing items were VERY outdated. I guess with the economy people are pulling out clothes from their attics from 10 years ago and trying to make
a buck. I shop on the discount days to buy play clothes for my child. I went on the consigner night, but prices were a bit high for old clothes. The toy selection seems to be much better in the spring sell (right after kids get new stuff for Christmas)!
Mommy 15-Aug-2011 02:27 PM3 out of 5 stars
This sale was a total disappointment to me this season. I went the first day that it was open to the public and there was almost no gear/equipment left. Looks like you have to consign or volunteer to get the good stuff. I went last season much later in
the sale and had much more choices. There were still swings, car seats...
MelissaP 13-Aug-2011 08:03 PM4 out of 5 stars
Have been consigning for many years and shopping before I consigned. This is a great sale. There are rules, which for some reason people seem to mind; I don't. Without rules, there is chaos. It is crowded, items vary year to year, the site does move, but
these things are about trying to save costs and the consignors. It's crowded because the consignors want to shop, then the regular customers get to come in. The rules clearly state that no strollers are allowed and as long as I have been coming, my son is
7, there have not been strollers. When things are busy, it can be difficult and this year there were growing pains as new people came in, but that too is a good thing. If new people don't come in then this sale would die out. The new people will get it, they
will adjust their prices, they will get the hang of volunteering. I really love this sale. The owners have put a lot of time and effort into it. They have invested a lot, so items can be bar-coded for our convenience, and we can purchase with plastic. This
is a good sale. I am sorry for those who had one bad experience and want to boycott, but that is their choice. For big items, if needed, get there the first night, they go fast, they're good deals. For clothes, the sale has no control over that...if you want
good stuff, get there early. I suggest consigning. Then you will understand the effort that goes into the sale, get to shop early, and get a check a few weeks after; mine was more that I spent. Love to WeeRuns!

I love this sale! I have been going for the last 3 years and have consigned there for 3 seasons. I've bought great things each time and have bought most of my children's clothes there. A lot of them looked brand new or were brand new - still with tags!
As a consignor, I've been very happy as well. I think that we get a fair percentage and I've never had many items left over! They do a great job advertising it! I would say it's a MUST GO!

The best sale ever! I always get fabulous clothes for both my children. This was my first time as a consginor. I was leary to sell thinking it was going to be too much work and not enough money. But this was so not true! It only took a few hours to get
everything ready I had 52 items and came home with only 7! I was so excited and will deffinetly consgin again soon! Thank You weeruns!

Awesome sale! I have been going for FOUR years now...well worth it. To get the best deals, consign or volunteer so that you can get into the sale before the general public is allowed in. There are plenty of items priced reasonably because there are moms
like me who want our quality items sold. I make a good profit and get great items for my son for next season.
Lynn Lilley 11-Aug-2011 05:43 PM5 out of 5 stars
No other sale can compare. Due to the size of the sale, everyone can find items you are in need of for your children. Play clothes to boutique brands, books to DVDs, new baby items to teens, toys to electronics, cribs to beds, etc... I have consigned and
bought items for years. I have been very pleased with Deane's set up and since she has done this for many years, she knows what she is doing. Directions are well written and easy to follow. As with any consignment sale, the items will vary from year to year.
As a consignor, I have been very pleased with the number of items I have sold. Due to the number of people that shop this sale, I am able to get a fair price for my gently used items - much better than what I would have received at a yard sale. Once you catch
the bug of WeeRuns you will look forward to the experience twice a year.

Crystal Stephens 18-Feb-2011 12:04 AM5 out of 5 stars
I agree with everything BillP and Mary said. Everything about the policies and procedures are clearly stated. The stroller policy is the same as when I started shopping the sale four years ago. It's not something that is just changed on a whim. I have ALWAYS shopped the Fabulous Friday or consignor's sales. I love shopping without my son. It's the two nights a year, I can count on to have a girl's night out. My mom and I go, leaving my son at home with his dad. It allows me to shop, unrushed and to make the decisions and choices about what I want. Plus, it's my "me time"... something us moms don't get a lot of. Honestly, I was suprised at the negative comments. I heard about WeeRuns when I was pregnant and have shopped twice a year ever since. (I was actually shopping the Winter 2007 sale on my due date! LOL) I do NOT buy clothes retail. I shop for my son twice a year at WeeRuns. The quality and price, allow me to buy his entire wardrobe for each season in two yearly shopping trips - usually spending less than $200, including a few toys. Of course, the selection and pricing will vary with each item and sale. This isn't a retail store... it's a consignment sale. You are buying other people's items with the prices they have set. I have volunteered and consigned with the sale and have seen, first hand, how much work goes into it. Yes, the seasonal moves can be frustrating but Deane tries hard to listen to the likes and dislikes of each location. She tries to get consistant spaces that people have enjoyed in the past. (This year's location was GREAT!) Plus, the locations have all been within a block or so of each other. It's not like you're driving across town for a new location each time. If you're looking for a thrown together, cheap yard sale... this is not what you're looking for. If you want an organized, efficient shopping experience... this is it. Deane has been extremely helpful and polite to work with, both as a consigner and volunteer... as well as a shopper. Every year that I have consigned, I've sold 95% of my items... this year was 100%!! You can't please all the people, all the time but know one thing, WeeRuns... you have and continue to please me!! I will continue to be a loyal consigner and shopper and will continue to recommend you to friends! :-)

I have been a consigning with Deane at Wee Runs for many years. I had tried seling my kids clothes at yard sales before selling at Wee Runs and I have not had a yard sale since the first time I was a consignor. I am always pleased and surprised at the amount of my check at the end of each sell. Wee Runs advertises and has a wonderful turn out to all of their sells. Everything is very organized and it is always in a nice building and at a great location. I have recommended Wee Runs to my friends and they have been pleased as well.

I have been a consigning at WeeRuns for 4 years now. This sale is organized extremely well, for both consigners and buyers. I usually sell about 90% or more of my items and make several hundred dollars. Consigners and volunteers get to shop the presales and that's when most of the good stuff sells, so it's worth considering helping out or selling to shop early.
Nana 17-Feb-2011 08:26 PM5 out of 5 stars

I have volunteered, consigned, and shopped this sale for six years now. I have been able to get almost an entire season for my daughter each sale. I love the length of the sale, which is longer than any other sale in the area, the fact we have so many shoppers looking at our sale items and the efficiency of it being computerized. I enjoy my volunteer time there working with the other ladies and Deane is great to work with. This sale is worth checking out whether you just want to shop or sale the things you don't need anymore. I have participated in other sales and they have not been as profitable for me, as much fun to work and some even lost my items. Give it a try!

This is a fabulous sale. As some of the other posters have mentioned to get the really really good deals it is well worth your time to volunteer for a shift or two. There is a presale for VIP (2 shift) Volunteers, then a sale for regular 1 shift volunteers, the consigners pre-sale, the Friday night Cash entry sale all before the doors open to the general public. By then lots of the really good deals have been snatched up although there are still lots of stuff left. The price will just be a little higher then if you were a volunteer. This year they also made really good effort in appreciating their volunteers and consigners. There were hidden gift certs., cookies and coffee and lots of thank yous. It was a noticable difference and was appreciated. I also love that I am not allowed to bring my child. It is a fun mommy's night out and a good excuse to get my husband to help out.

This is THE best sale in our area to consign with. You will definitely make the most money for your time by selling with WeeRuns. The prices tend to be a little higher here but consignors and volunteers get into the pre-sale and the discount sales first and therefore get the better deals.

I have shopped and consigned at this sale several times. It is a great way to get a decent price for your childrens outgrown clothing. We all know 'yard salers' won't pay a decent price for clothes at a yard sale. True, strollers are not allowed during high volume shopping times, like the first weekend or the discount sale. and for 'concerned mom' if you want the good stuff, don't go on the last weekend. If you want the best selection, consign or better yet, volunteer so you can take advantage of the private sales.
I love Weeruns and wlll continue to sell and volunteer.
Karli 10-Mar-2010 09:35 AM5 out of 5 stars
I have volunteered, consigned and shopped at Weeruns for two years straight. This is by far, one of the BEST Consignment Sales in the Triad. Of course, if you don't think you can shop without your kids, this is truly NOT the place for you. But, if you wanna get first "pick" at all their wonderful toys and clothing, i suggest you "volunteer" for a shift or two, and be prepared to get WOWed by all the amazing sale ticket items. This year i wasn't in need for clothes, as much as for new toys, we all know how "bored" our kids can get of playing with the same toys. I spent a quarter of the price for "ALMOST NEW" toys, than if i would have bought them from the toystore. No brainer there!! I can honestly say that NOT only is this place awesome, for those of us on a budget, but, the people and Dean are extremely helpful and friendly. I will continue to support this SALE for as long as it occurs. GO Weeruns!!

Went the last day of the sale. There really wasn't anything worth getting and the prices seemed higher than other sales in the area.

This sale is wonderful. It runs for almost two full weeks so that anybody who wishes to come has ample opportunity. This is also great for the consignors as they get many times the exposure to their items at this sale than at any other sale. This year many of the other church sales are all occurring on the same weekend which will reduce the quality and quantity of items for sale and also the number of potential shoppers. There is no such problem at WeeRuns. Also there are some misconceptions about this sale that need to be cleared up. First, strollers are not allowed early in the sale because of the sheer number of items for sale and the sheer number of shoppers. There simply is not room for the strollers to navigate safely through the sales floor. This is clearly stated on the informational pamphlet of the sale. It is not solely at the discretion of the owner, it is for the safety of all those involved in the sale: workers, mothers AND children alike. Second, the lady that runs this sale works year-round on setting up the Spring and Fall sales. This is her livelihood. She puts more work into these sales than anyone could ever calculate. Out of her “profit” she must pay for renting the furniture showroom, the utilities of the showroom during the sale, her actual workers’ salaries, advertising, and the computer set-up necessary to run the sale. This is not profit off children, it is simple capitalism and hard work. She has children as do most that volunteer there.

This is the best sale in the triad....it is always the first of the season and has the best stuff, but realize there are over 600 consignors and volunteers, so there is a lot of stuff. I have consigned and volunteered in this sale for years, I make the most money here by far (I consign in 4-5 others too) but I make 3 times more here due tp the volume and length of the sale. If you want the good stuff, volunteer! coming at the end of any sale is risky, but this one means almost 2 weeks of shopping has happened...Deane runs a tight ship, but that is what makes this one so good, it is well run and efficient. it takes credit cards which is important to some... It moves since it is seasonal and uses vacant space.....and the lady and the stroller comment--it is on all of the sale literature! You can count on no strollers the first week end for sure...too much stuff! This is by far the place to shop fpr baby items and equipment. I am suprised by the negative comments too, shop earlier! Consign or even better volunteer! worth it!

Great sale...Consigned so that I had a ticket for the pre-sale...even at this sale found great Baby Einstein toys in Excellent shape for $4-6. At the 70% off sale, still found 40+ quality 6-12 month outfits and dresses (Gymboree, Old Navy, Gap) for $3 or $4 after discount (they'll stick knock off 20% even the items that say No Discount). We'll be back next year!

We have consigned and shopped with Wee Runs 3 times now, and have had a WONDERFUL experience each time. While it is true that the requirements are much more detailed than others, it is my strong opinion that this makes Wee Runs a much more organized, high quality sale. All of those rules exists for good reasons, and in the end, you shop a extremely well-run, high end sale with great prices. As a consignor, we have consistently made great money re-selling my daughter's items. Frankly, I am surprised at some of the more negative reviews. For me, the proof is in the product, and the Wee Runs sale should the "best practices" model for all the others!

Last year I went the last Saturday of the sale and there was nothing good left at all. I remember thinking how glad I was that I went that day and not the next day when they charged a $5 admission. I would have been really mad if I had spent that money for nothing. Junk is junk, whether it's 70% off or not!

(name: momof3) You are NOT allowed to have strollers, diaper bags and other items at the owner's discretion at the sale! I brought my children safely secured in a stroller and was not allowed into the sale. The reason I was given, by the owner, was that it was a fire code violation!!!!! There is NO fire code for strollers! I know... very funny. I was the third person turned away in less than one hour. She says that she has never allowed strollers. This I found to ALSO be not true. I just wonder how much shopping a mom or grandmother can really do while holding a child? She also said that 95% of women have NO problem not bringing their children! Wow that is a bold statement! Here are my thoughts for what they are worth...This women makes a profit off our hard work, do we really want to support someone who values an income off of children but does not value children? She can't have her cake and eat it too! I encourage all to boycott this sale! Consignment sales are everywhere and for all other sales the proceeds go back to the children. As consumers AND MOTHERS we need to speak with our money!

Changes location every season...that truly sucks! Owner isn't very friendly but there are great deals for customers. It's truly a hassle when consigning with her.

Definitely the biggest sale in the Triad... the first few days are a mad house, but for big ticket items, it is worth the wait in line. Half price day is great for infant items, as these items are in abundance!!!

Didn't really like this sale. Went on Friday and just weren't any quality items left.
