In 2016, The Upscale Weesale was honored as one of Consignment Mommies’ National Top 10 Best Consignment Sales. We reached out to Kim Willaby to find out what makes The Upscale Weesale so successful!
How did you get started?
I got started in 1999 after moving back home to Rock Hill SC from Greensboro, NC. There were no consignment sales in our area. I consigned with another sale in the Greensboro area and I decided I would jump in and see if it would work and it stuck!
What are your very best shopping tips?
- Bring a list.
- Trace the outline of your child’s foot on cardboard to get the correct size shoes.
- Bring a snack and water!
What is your best consigning tip?
Get started early but don’t bite off more than you can chew!
What is something you are most proud of?
I am really proud of the our quality and inspection process. We truly look at each piece of clothing front and back. Our merchandise is the best you will find! And super proud of winning the National title 4 years in a row!
