Sweet Arrows is a weekend seasonal children’s consignment event held in Rapid City, SD. We are not a consignment store or a garage sale. We are an event that offers a great opportunity to buy high-quality, gently-used baby, kids and maternity items at a discount.  You will find clothing sizes Preemie to 16, maternity wear, shoes and accessories, strollers, baby gear, diaper bags, bedding, nursery and children’s furniture, toys (indoor and outdoor), books, DVDs, seasonal clothes(costumes, special occasion dresses, jackets, swimwear, etc.) and more! 

We take the hard work out of earning cash for your gently used items. Become a consignor and you can earn 70-80% of your items selling price.

 Register to Be a Consignor

  • Go to sweetarrowsconsign.com

  • No upfront costs.  A consignor fee of $7.50 will be deducted from your check.

  • You will receive an e-mail after registering with your consignor number and instructions on how to submit your Inventory List via e-mail. 

 

Gather All Items That You Wish to Consign

  • View “Accepted Items” and “Recalled Items” to help decide what can be sold

 

Gather Supplies Needed

  • Sweet Arrows Tag Template or index cards

  • hangers

  • masking tape

  • packing tape

  • safety pins

  • Ziploc bags (gallon and quart size)

  • Sharpies

  • scissors

  • rubber bands

  • Clorox wipes

  • Magic Erasers

  • baking soda

  • dishwashing detergent

  • bleach

 

Prepare Items

  • Clean items

    • Break out the elbow grease and make your items shine! Shoppers want to buy items that look new. The better your item looks, the better it will sell!  Wash, press, and snip loose threads on clothing items.  Magic Erasers and Clorox wipes work wonders on toys, strollers, high chairs, baby furniture, etc. Wash each part of the item – straps, seat covers, buckles, attached toys, legs, etc. Don’t forget to clean the bottom of items too!

    • For yellow stains:

      • Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and water and apply to stain.  Let sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour.  Brush off any dried residue and wash in cold water. Check if stain is removed, if not repeat.  Then, wash as usual.

    • To remove grease stains:

      • Use dishwashing soap.  Rub the liquid into the stain.  Put baking soda on the treated area and soak in hot water.  Let set for about 30 minutes.  Then, wash as usual. 

  • Categorize items

    • Group clothing by gender (girls first!) and size (smallest to largest) and other items such as books, toys, etc. for a smoother drop off. 

  • All items must be on hangers when dropping off.

Schedule Volunteer Shift

  • Register to volunteer at sweetarrowsconsign.com

  • REMEMBER:

    • Volunteer for 4 hours: $0 consignor fee + Silver Volunteer Pre-Sale pass (1 shift volunteered)

    • Volunteer for 8 hours: Receive 75% of your sales + $0 consignor fee + Gold Volunteer Pre-Sale pass for Pre-Sale and Half-Off Sale (2 shifts volunteered)

 

Refer other Consignors

  • For each new consignor that you refer, you will receive one entry into a $25 Sweet Arrows Gift Certificate to be used at the sale.

  • Consignor can earn an additional 5% for 4 consignors that enlist and consign at least 20 items.  When new consignor is registering, they should put your name in the “Referred By” box.  The consignor must be new to Sweet Arrows.  Immediate family (husband, daughter, etc.) do not qualify. 

 

Check e-mail regularly for reminders and tips.

 

Drop Off

  1. Before arriving, please ARRANGE by size and gender (items should be girls first, smallest to largest in the same order of your Inventory List).

  2. PARK on the north side of the building.  Look for the sign that says CHECK IN HERE! When you arrive to drop off items, leave your items in your vehicle.  Come into the check-in table with your inventory list that was submitted via e-mail. You will be given your scheduled pick-up time for unsold items, Consignor or Volunteer Pre-Pass, and a car seat or crib disclosure form if needed.

  3. BRING your items to the Inspection Station and a check-in associate will make sure your clothes are hung and tagged correctly and are free of stains, tears, missing buttons, etc. before being placed on the sales floor.  Please do not be offended if some of your items are rejected.  It is easy to overlook a small flaw when preparing for the sale.  Be sure you have working batteries in items that need them.

  • After check-in process, all clothing items must be placed by consignor on the correct rack and all other items must be placed on the sales floor in the correct designated area. 

 

Refer other Consignors

  • For each new consignor that you refer, you will receive one entry into a $25 Sweet Arrows Gift Certificate to be used at the sale.

  • Consignor can earn an additional 5% for referring four consignors that each enlist and consign at least 20 items. Instruct the new consignor to fill in your name in the “Referred By” box when registering.  The consignor must be new to Sweet Arrows.  Immediate family (husband, daughter, etc.) do not qualify. 

 

Shop the Pre-Sale Event

 

Pick-Up

  • Consignors have the option of donating their unsold items to Club for Boys or picking them up.  Items that are not picked up will be donated to the Club for Boys.  If you know that you want to donate some or all of your items, please mark these items while creating the tags.

  • When picking up, arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.  Gather all your items using your consignor number and proceed to check-out where your items will be verified.  Remember larger items as they will be separate from the clothing.  Sweet Arrows is not responsible for any items that are forgotten.

  • There will be a lost and found area that we encourage you to look through as you leave.

  • All items that are left after your scheduled pick-up will be donated.

 

Receive Check for Items Sold
