How to Consign

May 4th-7th, 2022 at The West Side Irish-American Club,

8559 Jennings Rd.

 Olmsted Township, Ohio

With a little preparation and strategy, you can find great deals for a fraction of the cost of retail. Maximize your efforts and get the biggest bang for your buck with these tips to becoming a consignment shopping rock star.

1. Make a list
It’s easier to determine what you need if you know what you have. Inventory your children’s clothes and shoes. Make a list of styles wanted and basic and special events clothing needs.

2. Size them up
Anticipating what size your child will be in a few months is hard to do, but if you know your child’s current height and weight you can predict his growth. Plot his measurements on this age growth chart and add six months to know exactly what size to buy.

3. Know your dough
You’re sure to find amazing deals no matter your spending limit.

4. Be tote-ally prepared
Make sure to bring a tote to carry the loads of clothes you find. Collapsible laundry baskets are convenient, but wagons and rolling suitcases will work too.

5. Look high and low
Kids clothing sizes don’t always match what’s printed on the label. Look in the sizes above and below your child’s actual size. A boutique dress could be tagged a size smaller than your daughter wears, but may actually fit perfectly.

6. Shop early and score bigger
If you want the REALLY good deals and top brands, you’ll want to shop as early as possible. Volunteers and consignors shop first at nearly all consignment sales. Check the MotherLoad website @ www.themotherloadsale.com for volunteer shifts or consignor information so you can join in on the fun at our sale.

Our event is being held November 10th-13th, 2021 at the West Side Irish-American Club in Olmsted Township, Ohio.
