Smart Moms Get "Green" with Consignment

Green is the new black among savvy moms!  Good for moms’ wallets and the environment, this trendy seasonal sale phenomenon has exploded across the nation and is making a huge impact on the environment along the way!

We recently polled My Consignment Manager, a consignment software provider; Rhea Lana’s Franchise Systems, Inc., a national children’s consignment sale franchisor; and independent children’s consignment sale owners to gather insight into more than 750 of these seasonal shopping events. Based on the resale patterns at these children's consignment sales for spring and fall 2011, ConsignmentMommies.com can extrapolate that industry-wide: ...Read More!!!

Giving Back: New Project for Consignment Sales

Guest Post by Martha Montiel-Lewis
Consignment is a booming trend in the United States. In theory it is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Such a Good Boy Mom: A Journey of Laundry Lessons Learned

In my pre-baby world, I was a dance teacher, graphic designer and lover of all things hot pink and sparkly.  So, when I got hit with the "Wow Chrissy, you are such a good boy mom" message one day, I was at a complete loss.  Was it the dirt under my nails from the worm digging?  The look of "gosh, I hope they don't use that as a sword and hit someone in the face?"

Nope.... I've finally figured it out.  I think that crazy nutty lady was trying to compliment my laundry skills.  After all, a boy is NOISE WITH DIRT!  Ask any "boy mom" and they will tell you this is one of the necessary skills one must learn when trying to keep little dirt digging, worm finding, pocket stuffing little angels looking cute and put together.

Here are my "laundry" rules when dealing with my sweet little dirt monsters:  ...Read More!!!

Guest Post: 10 Tips for Organizing Your Consignment Prep

It’s that time of year again…kids consignment sales are popping up all around my neck of the woods. I love these sales because it means that I can get clothes, books & toys for my daughter at a fraction of the retail prices in usually nearly new condition.  And it means my clients can clear out some of their unwanted items! From a Professional Organizer’s perspective, consigning can be a great way to declutter but only if you do it right and follow through. I can’t tell you how many partially started consignment projects I’ve come across in client’s homes – the best of intentions but they get stopped somewhere in the process and the things pile up. Don’t let that happen to you! ...Read More!!!
