The Award Winning LexFUN! Children’s Consignment Sale Returns on Saturday, April 27, 2019

This year will feature MORE checkout registers to help lines move faster! What else should you know:

WHEN: Saturday April 27th, 2019, 10am – 3pm

7:30am – 9am: Exclusive Volunteer Pre-sale (must work minimum 2 ½ hours to qualify)

10am – 3pm: General Sale

3:15pm – 4pm: Bargain Bag Sale (everything you can fit in a provided bag for just $20)

WHERE: Lexington High School, Field house, 251 Waltham St, Lexington MA

LexFUN! is gearing up for another award winning children and maternity consignment sale on Saturday, April 27th. Families from all around are invited to turn their clutter into cash, shop unbelievable deals and volunteer at the event. The number of shoppers at the event has increased year to year and there will be more checkout registers to meet this demand. 

If YOU want to be one of the first people in the door AND secure the very best items at the very best prices, AND bypass the general check out line altogether, simply volunteer! Anyone volunteering 2 ½ hours is invited to shop the exclusive Volunteer Only Pre-Sale, on Saturday at 7:30am.

There are jobs for those who like to stay active like helping people who are dropping off donations, putting items on tables and racks, organizing, tagging clothes. It’s actually a really fun time. Thousands of high quality, gently used baby and kids items will be up for grabs. Everything from children’s clothes size 0-12 yrs, maternity wear, toys large and small, baby gear and furniture, to bikes and outdoor sports gear, can be found – all at discounted prices. The sale is like a pop-up department store, with items displayed in sections, on racks and tagged electronically, with major credit cards accepted. A truly organized affair!

Consigning your items is easy with an online tagging system to create your own barcode price tags. With sales of $76,000 last year, there is money to be made as a seller. Half of the proceeds of sold items are earned by the sellers and the other half goes to the LexFUND! Preschool Scholarship Fund. The tagging deadline is April 23rd at midnight. Items are dropped off on Friday, April 26th 5:00pm-8:00pm and then volunteers take over from there.

“I love this sale! With the tagging technology it’s super easy to consign. I always cross my fingers that I’ll make as much money as I spend there… there is so much kids stuff to choose from. When my kids were babies I purchased many clothes. As they have grown older I ended up getting tons of books, toys, snow gear.” Liz, Waltham Resident

Donations are also gratefully accepted, no tagging required! Simply drop off your items and feel good that 100% of the proceeds go to local families in need. Donations are tax deductible. Any items remaining are donated to local charities, including Cradles to Crayons helping even more children.
