Just went yesterday for the Grandparent sale. Love the new digs. Very, very spacious. Lots of room to move and they have a snack bar. Got great bargains. 4 beautiful Christmas dresses, 3 pair of dress shoes, Halloween costume, sit and spin and bouncy seat for around $50. As far as any thing electronical, toys or stuff sealed in bags I didn’t look at. Lot of nice clothes though.

BUYER BEWARE!!! DIS-HONEST CONSIGNORS! A few years ago a bought a electronic toy that was not working at the sale. I assumed that the batteries were dead. Went home and put in batteries and it did not work. That when into the trash. IF IT DOESN’T WORK AT THE SALE IT PROBABLY WILL NOT WORK WHEN YOU GET IT HOME. LEAVE IT. This year I bought NUK sippy cups. They were sealed up in a plastic bag. When I got home and opened them the valves in the cups were missing, making the cups only useful for the garbage. I emailed Sunflower sprout and they said they would forward to the consignor. A month later I got no response from the consignor and email Sunflower again and got no response from them. So apparently they don’t care who the consignor is or what they sell at the sale . IF YOU CANT SEE ALL THE PARTS, DON’T BUY IT, BECAUSE IT IS PROBABLY MISSING THEM. LEAVE IT THERE. The sale is great for stuff that you can see and test out.

I love Sunflower Sprouts. I won’t shop at any other consignment sale in the area. I find everything I need and then some at this sale alone!! I sell almost all of my items and I can donate the rest to a worthy cause after the sale! No need for picking up the leftovers they donate the items for me! I also enjoy volunteering to work at this sale. I have made friends who I will only see during the sale each season. Jen and Leslie are very easy to work with as well as personable. I highly recommend consigning, volunteering to work, and for sure shopping this great sale!! Don’t miss it you won’t find better deals anywhere else!!

Can’t wait for the spring sale! For the past few years I’ve been buying almost an entire wardrobe for my son. And at this past fall sale, I got a ton of great toys for Christmas, including a kitchen that looks brand new and is getting a ton of use!

Do not consign with these people! They make all their money risk free off of you and you take all the risks if something goes wrong with your items! They don’t care what happens to your stuff the minute you drop it off. I had tags get switched on some of my toys with the same toy other consigners were selling because there’s wasnt in as good condition as mine was plus there’s was cheaper. So someone made money off my stuff and I was left with their dirty broken toys that shouldn’t of been excepted in the first place! My sister also consigned and they lost the power cord to her power wheel and she had pieces go missing from most of her toys! We expressed our problems with the owners and they refused to do anything for us! I personally don’t think they can handle a big sale like this and they need to get a smaller sale down pat first before they lose more people’s belongings! I would NOT recommend this sale to anyone! You will lose more money than you make!

Sheeeesh H. All you had to do was ask me…lol. Do you know that they have pre buyer days and that is how tags get moved.

Colleen it was my first time doing it. My sister has done it twice in the past and never had a problem until this one! You wouldn’t believe what happens to your things. Never again for me! LoL

I LOVE THE SUNFLOWER SPROUTS SALE! I have been selling & buying (as much as I’ve been selling LOL) at this sale for a couple years now & it is awesome! Moving to the new location was the greatest idea… so much more room & easier to move around. Best sale in the Pittsburgh area, hands down, in my book! 😀

I can’t say enough about the Sunflower Sprouts consignment sale – from the two women that developed this incredible event to the availability of incredible items to the ease of consigning your own things – I can’t stop talking about it! I have made money from more than half of my items that I listed, I bought $1000 worth of amazing items for my children for $281 – brand name clothing, practically new toys, and beautiful baby furniture – I am already packing stuff away for the Fall sale and I don’t want to rush the summer away, but I can’t wait to shop again for more fun things! Thank you Sunflower Sprouts for making this awesome sale happen and making it a better experience each time!

This sale has been good in past years, but it’s amazing this year in the new bigger space! I’ve found some really great hig-quality items here, both at full price, and at 50% off. As a consignor, it’s a smooth process, with a great pay-out.

Sunflower Sprouts is the best kids’ consignment sale. Everything is so well organized, and the space is huge for holding all the kids’ toys, strollers, bikes, car seats, play equipment, clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. I volunteer at the sale, so we can shop early and get the best deals! And Lesley and Jen are fun to work for! Things really sell out fast, so the consignors are happy. The customers are all happy too with their bargains!

I have enjoyed this sale a lot, but this year was a bit disappointed. Though they had more floorspace (which was wonderful) they didn’t seem to increase their display space. So my arms were aching after trying to push clothes aside to get a peek at them, the pile of toys on/under/beside the table were intimidating and I’m sure I missed some cute shoes at the buried under the piles. So lots of selection, but you have to work for it all and be very patient.

Gretchen…we actually added 340 feet of racks to accommodate our growth. Some sizes were just a little tighter than others unfortunately but with 50K items for sale there is a lot to work through.

This was my first time consigning, the process to consign is easy. Just wish some people could of been more friendly and welcoming when I had my drop off date. I’m making money, not as much as I thought I would. I did not get a chance to shop yet this year but my sisters did and they were disappointed. They said most of the stuff was picked over by the time the public sale opened.

Sunflower Sprouts is the real deal in my book. I have been loyal to this sale since the very first sale and will continue to be in the future. It has been fun to watch how the sale has grown and make its way into the “Big Leagues”. Everyone is friendly and excited to be there. I have been a shopper, consignor, and volunteer at Sunflower Sprouts and have had great experiences in each role. I value the frienships that I have made with people associated with this sale. I have found some really awesome deals and unique items at their sales. I typically shop over a period of several days, each day I find “hidden treasures” that I had missed the days before. I highly recommend Sunflower Sprouts.

After reading some of the comments from last winter, I do want to add that I have never used my early shopping consignor pass because I haven’t ever had time. But I did go last fall during the last few hours of the very LAST day when most things were 1/2 price, and I still found a huge garbage bag full of great condition clothes in size 6 and 12. If you can’t find great deals on the first weekend or on the first day of 50% off, then you must be very name-brand picky.

I shop all the local consignment sales (and sell at a different one)… this is one of the best. I have shopped it since it opened and this is my first year consigning here. The process is great so far! Great deals on clothes. You always have people who price stuff crazy, crazy shoppers, and long lines for check outs – that’s the way it is at all big sales. I paid the $10 to pre-shop and would do it again, but this year I volunteered so I can shop earlier. The volunteers do get the best stuff, but there is plenty left afterwards – that’s the reason to volunteer (and yes, I do work full time :-)). Great scheduling options for working moms!

Fantastic consignment sale! It’s organized and operated like a store, not a yard sale. Some comments on here say that the consignors and volunteers buy the “good stuff” before the public is able to shop. I have to respectfully disagree, as some of my best finds are at the end of the sale on the 50% off days, after everyone has shopped to their hearts content.

I will be doing Sunflower Sprouts for the first time coming up, but so far my favorite is the Fox Chapel Kids Consignment sale. I like that proceeds go to the preschool and not someone’s pocket. It is a smaller sale but I like that it is a bit more personal. I have done well every time I have consigned so far!

A great consignment sale. You have to know if you are meant to be at a consignment sale or not from some of the comments below. Things will get jostled throughout the sale. And if you have been to a department store…..things are just as much amuck. Sunflower Sprouts has nice inventory and I always find nice clothing for my TOO TALL 2 year old. This year I am going to try volunteering to give back and earn and extra 5% in sales as I have consigned for the past two years. This is a nice way to see many different types of items in the North Hills. And the two ladies that have created this are a blessing and always smiling. Kudos to them.

Great Sale. I have been consigning since the very first one. To all the compainers, if you didn’t let your kids play with the toys while you are shopping we wouldn’t have to seal them up like we do. Parts get lost…I have sealed mine up and people open them and then I can’t sell it because the parts are separated from the bag. And with as many shoppers as come through, some of your items are going to be missing…it’s a given. People steal from stores with security, why would you think it wouldn’t happen at this type of sale. I had two different pair of CROCS stolen, not the best of situations but have to deal with it.
