I used to consign with them every sale but no more since they switched formats. They only pay cosignors 55% now. You have to volunteer for eight + hours to earn a little extra. They turned Saturday which is typically the busiest day into half off all day long which means more items being sold for less money. Also the wait for your check is long. Last sale I participated in took three weeks to receive and they don’t waive their fee regardless of amount sold. Greed has gotten them good.
I’m so sorry to hear you are no longer happy with our sale. We actually added 14 more regular price hours to shop. Saturdays have been our slowest day for sales for years so we decided to make that a half day sale at half price in an effort to help our consignors sell more. We also offer up to 70% to consignors that volunteer. We can’t have a sale without our volunteers. We are always open to suggestions to make our sale better so we are able to donate more to local charities such as foster care closets, Touching Davison County with Love, Pastor’s Pantry, and to provide preschool scholarships to families in need. None of the proceeds are retained by the church or any or their groups. Please feel free to email us directly with any questions, suggestions or concerns. Blessings!
This is the 3rd year that I have been to this sale. I typically come both Spring and Fall. Unfortunately, I believe this will be my last time attending this sale. I just left after purchasing my three items. They will run you out before the half price sale stars. You have to put any items you have found down. Ok, fine. They proceed to put your items that you have put down, back out in a different place, so you again have find your items. Ok, I can even handle that…although I do not agree with it. Sellers put their items in the sale to get gone, why make that harder? However, I DO NOT agree with the behavior of one of the workers that I witnessed chastising another buyer (not me, actually a complete stranger to me) because she “waited an hour and a half to purchase items half off”. Umm, I’m sorry, but if the seller marked items to be sold half off, and the buyer wants to wait to purchase the items half off, what buisness do you have to chastise a mother trying to provide for her child!!!!!!! This visit left a HUGE sour taste in my mouth and I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the behavior of the workers that I witnessed today!!!
This sale is huge! I got some great prices, but since the half price sale is only 2 hours, it is really busy that day. I had to wait in line to check out for half an hour. They need to have a longer half price day and signs that tell you what is half price. It wasn’t clear.
wish they were open on Friday afternoon!
Love to go to this sale….great buys!
My favorite sale in Winston Salem. I always find great stuff. Huge selection!
I’ve gotten great quality stuff both times I’ve gone. The check out is long but it’s worth it for the great selection. I also find this sale has a good variety of items and prices.
This could be a great sale if only the women running it would use their heads and double the amount of cashiers on opening morning. You know you will be swamped so PREPARE! There is plenty of room to set up an additional checkout on the other side of the hallway (you know, the place where people line up for 1/2 mile to checkout). It’s just common sense ladies!
