Tipsy Tuesday Recap: YOUR Best TAGGING Ideas Shared

Every Tuesday, we poll our ConsignmentMommies on Facebook for their “best” consignment sale tips!  Each week, we’ll share the best ideas here on our blog!

Cheesy Note:  I just love our COMMUNITY spirit – you guys truly are MOMS HELPING MOMS!!!

ZIP TIES

I suggest using zip ties on large baby items,(strollers, car seats, cribs) with taped on tag to stop any tag switching.Zip ties are great for shoes too ~ Cindy

PAINTER’S TAPE PREVENTS PRODUCT DAMAGE

I love using blue painters tape on any books or boxes that I don’t want to tear. That way they can still be given as gifts. ~ Kristen

CARE FOR YOUR CLOTHES

do not dry clothes for consignment in the dryer … hang them outside on a nice sunny day .. the sunshine is the Best stain remover! ~ Aimee

GET ORGANIZED with SUPPLIES

.. I keep all my tagging supplies in a storage container with a lid (the tape, index cards, pens, sharpies, and a closed container of safety pins, etc …) .. this way I can take my tagging supplies room to room and tag as I pull things to sell 😀  ~ Aimee

HOARD THE HANGERS

I also stock pile wire hangers through out the year, so I am not hunting for hangers when everyone else is. – Brenna

STANDOUT FOR EASIER PICKUP

if your items will not be sorted for you at pick up (and you want to pick up), consider using yarn or ribbon tied around the neck of your hangers. ~ Laurie

For quick pickup & sometimes locating a misplaced item…i use colored tape on the top of my hangers — and, neon stands out the BEST!! – Darline

PREVENT PRICKS

With safety pins – use a very small holepunch to mark your holes for your pin. It will save your fingers a ton of wear and tear, even though it can be time consuming. (great project for the kiddos). – Elizabeth
